Job Description:
We are looking for Telecom Operations & Maintenance Technician with proven fiber optic splicing expertise to join our dynamic telecom team.
The ideal candidate will carry out end-to-end operations and maintenance activities including fiber cable splicing, network troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and technical field support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Fiber Splicing & Network Maintenance:
Perform fiber optic splicing (mechanical and fusion), connectorization, termination, and fiber testing.
Prepare and maintain splice enclosures, fiber panels, and termination boxes.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Locate and diagnose faults in fiber optic cables and related telecom hardware.
Conduct corrective maintenance to restore network services within SLA timelines.
Routine Operations & Documentation:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of fiber infrastructure, passive and active network components.
Update and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, testing results, asset movement, and incident reports.
Collaboration & Field Support:
Work closely with network engineers, contractors, and other field teams during
installations, upgrades, or repairs.
Participate in network rollout, expansions, and infrastructure enhancements.
