1. Understand embedded product requirements, propose conceptual designs
2. General familiarity of microcontrollers, processors and digital signal processors
(DSP), memories, ADC, signal conditioners, serial communication interfaces
3. Identification of right controllers and other key components, hands-on design
experience, end to end activities with at least one project
4. Design schematics using Orcad (Cadence) or equivalent tool
5. Generate PCB design guidelines for high speed digital, mixed analog and review
implementations with PCB designer
6. Bring up freshly designed boards, integrate firmware testing the basic board
functionalities and interfaces
7. Release initialisation and configuration data of peripherals and interface ports to
firmware team
8. Perform integrated tests with firmware, identify bugs and propose solutions
9. Experience with documentation: Requirement specifications, design, de-rating,
BoM, test plan and test reports
10. Familiarity with compliance standards on emission, interference and safety
11. Experience with designing DSP from Analog Devices is a plus
